Looking at the light:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Whatever the time of day, try to determine where the light comes from and whether it casts shadows in the environment: the street, the house, under the legs of a chair or a window, at the door… Look, it’s the only rule. You can be warned that this kind of practice can turn into an addiction. But it’s a fun and addictive game that will take you further into photography.<\/p>\n

Compose your frame :<\/strong><\/h2>\n

By answering these questions, you will certainly know how to compose your image:<\/p>\n

– Should I widen the frame or shoot close-ups instead? <\/span><\/p>\n

– Can certain details enrich my work? Or on the contrary, I should avoid adding construction elements so as not to disturb the eye. <\/span><\/p>\n

– Can I use perspective to deepen the image?<\/p>\n

– How can I convey my current emotions in photos? <\/span><\/p>\n

Use shapes to create interesting shadows:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When photographing shadows, be aware of how they appear in your image. Are they easily recognizable? If they seem awkward, you might as well leave them out of the frame.<\/p>\n

The secret is to make sure that an object doesn’t cast a shadow that looks like an indistinguishable mass. The best shadows often feature beautiful patterns or solid contours.<\/p>\n

Instead, look for objects with a distinctive silhouette. You can try anything, from bicycles to trees, as long as it’s easy to identify. People also make beautiful shadows, especially when their arms and legs are spread.<\/p>\n

Have fun playing with lines and shapes, and be careful not to frame anything that interferes with the look, I encourage you to try different framing as much as possible. That’s how you move forward, because you’ll know in advance what works, what doesn’t, what you like and what you don’t like.<\/p>\n
